ATLANTA – January 24, 2011 – SignatureFD, a leading privately held financial design and advisory firm, today announced that its Women’s Practice will hold it’s first educational lunch & learn this Wednesday, January 26, 2011.
“Women face some unique financial challenges,” said Page Harty, partner at SignatureFD. “They earn less than men, live longer than men, and shoulder the responsibility as long-term caretakers more than men do. Unfortunately, the research shows there is also a significant financial knowledge and confidence gap between men and women to add to the rest. In the end, our firm saw a real need to establish a Women’s Practice that focused not only on their specific wealth planning needs, but also on their educational needs.”
The event, co-hosted with Smith Gambrell & Russel and Bank of North Georgia, will bring in over 90 women to hear guest speaker Susan Hirschman, author of “Does This Make My Assets Look Fat?”
“We are thrilled about the response for this event,” said Harty. “We feel it underscores the need and are looking forward to what more we can do to help women find their financial confidence.”
